What makeup would complement me/general makeup help?

I usually never wear makeup at all; the most I would do before is some eyeshadow or mascara. I have a round face, blue eyes, dark auburn hair, pale skin. First of all, what colors would look good on me? What type of makeup should I wear? Also, what are some tips on picking out makeup for myself so I can match my outfits (is that necessary?) or pick out colors on my own? Thanks so much! What makeup would complement me/general makeup help?
Eyeshadow should be applied first and the color depends on the eyes. For example, blue looks horrible with green eyes but great with brown. You should avoid blue, as it would be too matchey matchey. Gold is a nice light color to compliment most color eyes. Blue eyes also look nice with rose shades and brown- but not too dark because that is too much for everyday wear. You should choose two or three shades of eyeshadow, one of which should be a light color like gold or VERY light pink. Apply this color to the eyelid and the space between the brow bone and eyebrow. Wipe away excess to create a natural look. The darker shades go on the eyelid on top of the light color. In addition, a light shade of something bright like purple can be applied to the front corner of the eye near the nose to make the eyes look bright- but just a smudge.

Now for mascara. Black is preferable if you have dark lashes, though brown can work. I like to hold to wand to my lashes and blink several times into it to get the desired effect. Only do the upper lashes- it will look better and make your life easier. Mascara is always applied last- eyeliner also goes on before it.

As for matchig makeup to outfits, it is more important to match makeup to EVENTS. Fancy parties call for heavier makeup, with eyeshadow dark on all parts of the eye, including browbone, and lots of mascara (even a little on the lower lashes). Day to day, the above will work. You don't even neccessarily need mascara, though you can certainly use it!!

Enjoy! :)

Also, some makeup brands, like Maybelline, have a nice explanation of how to apply makeup. It's on the product and you can find help on the websites sometimesWhat makeup would complement me/general makeup help?
to make your blue eyes stand out..pick beige/brown shades of eye shadow...caramel is really good...because you have dark red hair, the warm colors would look best on you. (colors like orange/red, yellows, even some greens). what you do to choose your colors for clothing is to hold colors up to your face while looking in the mirror and see what complements your face. you really dont need to match outfits and eyeshadows though...that doesnt always look best on your face. also, some ppl can wear both cool and warm tones....so just test out the colors, if you cant decide, have a friend to help. i would also choose a light coral toned lip gloss, black mascara and a peachy colored blush. if you have really good skin, you probably dont need a foundation. good luck.
i think the best way to have a great makeup look is to have great foundation...i started using Dinair Airbrush Makeup 2 years ago and i LOVE it...it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin..i use it as my concealer/foundation, blush, eyeshadow, and bronzer...anywho, hope i helped...=)
