Get CoverGirl makeup! They have this number thing where you figure out your number(1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) according to your skin tone and then all the rest of their products are numbered so you just find your number and the shades will always match! =)Makeover ideas im stuck in my same makeup routine and need help braking it ?
Wear either grey or blue eye shadow, to bring out the blue or grey (which ever one you want to play up) and mascara and eyeliner and a mutt have. If you wear blue shadow were um black or blue eyeliner. If you wear grey eyeshadow, wear plum eyeliner. Oh and maybe rich chocolate brown highlights :)
brite color eyeshadows! like neon yellow, blue, green, or purple;

that will really pop,

and super long eyelashes.

eyeliner only on your top lids,

bright red lips your possibilities are endless!

She is AMAZING. You will be fully informed. I know it's long. That's for eyeliner.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cByuzpdXA鈥?/a>

and i guess you can count this as a mascara tutorial. How do i apply these makeup types? Need Help?
eyeliner you can wear on top of your eye lid right next to your eye lashes or under your bottom eye lash or actually on your eye lid on the bottom. Mascara just hold it up to your eye and blink over and over for the top eye lashes for the bottom just use a brushing motion holding steady for both careful don't poke your eye out kid! LOL
the best advice i can give you is less is definately more so dont over apply. here is a link on how to apply them both, great advice!

hope i helped!
ok now look im in 7th grade and no one wore make up in 6th so i don't think u should either cuz u will look weird. but if u really want to.. dont wear eyeliner.. thats first.... um well i need to know what color eyes you have to i can give you tips on what eyeshadow to wear....and lets see mascara well . tilt your whole head/face up and sorta look down but at the same time so you can see your reflection in the mirror and so your whole eyelid is flatened out. then take the mascara wand and make short strokes from the root of your eyelash to the tip. umm i guess that kind it. ans same thing wen applying eyeshadow... make sure your whole eyelid is flatened out and then apply! hope this helps but plz dont wear too much because you dont want to look too old!
Mmm well, it depends if u want top or bottom liner, but liner is a little too much for 6th grade.

Mascara is okay :) it's easy just place the brush at the bottom of ur lashes and Squiggle up till u reach the end of them to get a longer effect. Coat ur lashes maybe 2-3 times for good results.:)

good luck.
okay here is how NOT to do eyeliner

http://s646.photobucket.com/albums/uu183/kendra_benson_bucket/?action=view%26amp;current=9211083-UynpO.jpg

--------------------------------------鈥?br>

Mascara is really easy. Open the tube take the side with the brush- And swipe it from the bottom to the tip of your eye lash. 2 coats. and use and eye lash curler before you do it.

--------------------------------------鈥?br>

and here are some other good things to know. For your lips get a clear or a really soft pink- So cute. and for eyeshadow, it depends on your skin tone. For me i'm pale so i use a pink gloss, Apricot Blush, Copper Shadow. Its easy to figure out whats good for your skin tone- go pick up a copy of the latest girlslife magazine. It has what skin tone is good for what make up.
You really dont need the make up. You're only in 6th grade.

If you really want try going on Youtube and search

There are lots of tutorials you can use that helps alot

I need help with natural looking makeup for a 13 year old.?

I usually wear a tiny bit of blush, mascara and sometimes subtle eye shadow and sometimes eye liner. It looks natural and looks like I'm hardly wearing make up. I have very distinct eyebrows, and dirty blond hair. Any suggestions for natural make up?I need help with natural looking makeup for a 13 year old.?
Start with a clean face. Apply your moisturizer. Start using a thin foundation, like minerals. Don't be fooled by those on tv though.

Use a blush that matches your lip color in a peachy tone. Use gloss %26amp; liner AFTER you put on lipstick. You can match your shadow up to that too, %26amp; even a contouring color. ( using a darker color to give the appearance or enhancing your natural high cheek bones - it goes under your apples of your cheeks, just a line towards your hair line )I need help with natural looking makeup for a 13 year old.?
What your wearing sounds really good, but if you want to change it up a bit but stay natural, try this look:

1. Wash your face and pat down with a wash cloth.

2. Start with foundation; apply one that is closest to your natural skin tone. If you do not like using this you do not have to.

3. Next take a light blush and apply it to the round part of your cheeks.

4. Take a coal colored eye pencil and carefully apply it to your eyes. Start with the middle of your bottom eye and draw a thin line out to the corner of your eye. Do the same for the top.

5. Find a brown (bronze) colored eye shadow and apply it to your eyelid.

6. Take a light pink (or clear) colored lip gloss and apply it to your lips.

7. Last enjoy your awesome new look!
at 13, you shouldn't be wearing any makeup at all! (lipgloss is ok) seriously, you might think you dont wear a lot of makeup, but wearing makeup at a young age can lead to premature aging. besides, you might think that hardly anyone can tell that you're wearing makeup, but trust me they can. makeup at a young age does not make you look older. it makes you look immature and tacky. please dont wear makeup at this young age. enjoy your beautiful young skin. it wont be that way forever!
use a powder, not foundation, a little blush if you would like, but I think bronzer is the best right now.. keep your eyes in a peach tone... and keep what you are doing.. if you wanted to add a little something i would recommend getting hot blue eyeliner, and you can just use it on the corner of your eyes, if you are going out or something.. Its lil but it will do the trick.
i think that sounds good. maybe you want to incorporate a nice, light, mineral foundation that would even your skin tone and make you ';glow';. i suggest maybelline mineral power natural perfecting liquid foundation. it offers nice coverage, but looks sheer and natural.
At age 13, you shouldn't be wearing make up. Especially at this age if you are going through puberty. Going to clog up your pours and you'll have far more break outs.

Wash your skin and leave it be. That's what really looks natural. Anything else looks like make up. Period.
that really sounds good, maybe even a little bit more than natural. It anything you could wear bronzer since it's summer to give your skin a healthy natural shine
tinted moisturizer

stick with the eyeliner, blush

no mascara

thats just about it

OH... lipgloss

Those are some of my favorite youtube artists. I learned everything i know from them.Does anyone know any good makeup help/tips websites?
The websites are great, but I have found it hard to put makeup on my face and have it turn out the way it looks on the website. If you want to try different looks, go into the mall and ask the ladies in Nordstroms or Maceys (big stores!) to help you customize a look for you! They don't charge and you usually walk away with some cool little samples. Just to ';pay them back';, it doesn't hurt to purchase something from them. (eye liners and lipsticks are cheap!)
I've never used this website before, but it came up when I searched ';makeup'; on the Yahoo search engine...

http://www.makeup411.com/

You could also trying searching on YouTube for videos that show ways to do makeup and videos that give makeup advice. A lot of websites that sell makeup also have sections on the website where you can get tips and advice on how to apply different makeup products as well.
sephora.com definitely. They also gave me good advice to start on my own makeup creations everytime I'm in their store. I love playing with makeup!
go to youtube, ull see bunches of tips for make-up. :)

  • Help with hair, makeup, and outfit for Picture day?

I know I had a similar question about 2 hours ago, but I didn't get many helpful responses. Anyways, I am 15, medium length wavy, thick, dark brown hair with natural light brown highlights, medium/tan skin, and my yearbook photo background will either be indigo or slate (grayish) colored. I am looking for ideas on what style and color shirt to wear, how to do my hair, and what to do for makeup. I have an idea of what I want to do, but I want some suggestions so I can decide. Thanks.Help with hair, makeup, and outfit for Picture day?
for the shirt, don't wear something too loud, because it could distract from your face.

for makeup, don't go too overboard. you might end up looking like a clown. Try wearing a rose-colored blush to add some color to your cheeks so you don't look too washed out. again, not too much, you WILL look like a clown. Lip gloss also photographs well. Wear eyeliner on the top of your eye and a tiny bit on the outer corner under your eye. If you have blue eyes, try a rich chocolate brown or simple black. For green eyes, try the brown. For brown eyes, try an emerald or forest green, it sounds weard, but it looks good. not too much, though! don't wear eyeshadow, the sparkles will look overpowering on camera. finish it off with black mascara on the top, and dab a small amount of cover-up on any blemishes or dark under-eye circles.Help with hair, makeup, and outfit for Picture day?
ok this is what u may wanna do. Wear a bright shirt to bring out the color. Wear something that has like Orange or Red or maybe even a light blue or pink. Do ur makeup the same way. Bring out the color of ur eyes. i hope this works!
i would wear you hair down and straight. do your makeup the same way you would wear it to school. but don't put tons of eye linner on for pictures it doesn't look that great. just a light brown that is noticeable but not too dark. for your shirt it wondent really madder cuzzz it wont really show up but don't get all dressed up for it wear a plane cute cut top. but nothing too bright like not orange or red.maybe a white, blue, or a pinkish top but make sure it is not a Bright pink it should be a settle pink.
I have some pics of styles i would choose: (from JC Penny hope the links work)

I reccomend this kind of shirt in green:http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.as…

    These type of jeans:http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.as…

    These type of shoes:

    http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.as…

    Dimond style earings:http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.as…

As for hair, don't do ponytails. A side ponytail is the only exception. I'd try maybe straitening your hair witn a side part and a pretty clip. For make - up try bronze and light reds and light pinks. Hope it helps and good luck!
well I am 13 and this is what I do for a party or a dance sometimes picture day so for your shirt, I would wear a shirt that the sleeves go to like ur elbow, they usually call them dorm room thermals probably a green/hazel color or a blue possibly brown to match ur eyes, ok for your hair I would straighten it to make ur highlights stand out it might take a little while because ur hair is thick but it will look AWESOME, because everyone is used to seeing u with ur hair wavy, finally for makeup If u are going with a green/hazel I would wear a smokey eyeshadow or a greyish eyeshadow so if you go with the slate background your eyes will stand out then the usual mascara and eyeliner then wear a natural lip gloss or lip stick a light pink, light brown or tan, srry I typed so much I have to practice on being detailed. did that help?
Well if I were you I would wear light colors fort make up let my hair down and for dressing probably if you shave and have a pretty body something short and sexy!!!
put mascara, straighten your hair and do something nice with it,and put lip gloss and wear something plain and simple, good luck sweetie

    xxx
Dont wear anything too bright. Maybe wear a light blue shirt. Your hair should me half up and half down. Dont wear too much makeup. Just lip gloss and maybe eyeshadow should be enough.

I went to one in my area and she asked me some questions before I got there - like if I'm fair, hair color etc - and she had make-up for me to put on and she went through and told me how to apply it. Need some help in deciding makeup for stretch marks?

    hey people,

I hear dermablend is good to hide stretch marks. Do you guys know of any other brand which is cheaper?

Secondly, if ordering online how do you guys decide on which shade to buy?Need some help in deciding makeup for stretch marks?
I would think that any foundation / mineral makeup / coverup would do the trick as long as it's not a cheap personal store brand from a grocery store . Instead of hiding the scars with makeup try putting Palmers Cocoa Butter on them , I heard it works wonders ! You can buy it just about anywhere I am pretty sure . Give it a try !

Please help with my makeup project. Why do you wear makeup?

I'm busy doing a makeup project and I'm looking for a few case studies. All I'd like to know is why you wear makeup, your name and your age.

This would really help me out a lot. Thank you. Please help with my makeup project. Why do you wear makeup?
    Shea, 16.

I wear makeup because I feel insecure about the flaws in my face and it helps hide them. It's also kind of fun to put on.Please help with my makeup project. Why do you wear makeup?
I wear makeup to express myself. It shouldn't be about impressing people and it shouldn't be because you feel you aren't pretty without it. Makeup is fun. Its like painting a picture of how you feel that day. Light and carefree, or beautiful and sexy, dark and mysterious, or classic and polished. It makes you feel good.
    Shannon, 25

I wear make-up because I feel that it makes me look better and more presentable. Also, I have found that when I don't, a lot of my coworkers and friends tend to ask me if I'm sick or tired, so I guess it's to avoid people thinking that there is something wrong with me and bugging me about it.
    Isabella, Age 21

I wear makeup because it makes me feel good, i am the type of person who doesn't wear it out shopping or to the local store but i will wear it if i know im going somewhere nice like a party or out to dinner. I think makeup allows you to have different looks and styles and gives your face a new look. There is so much make up out there to choose from and it can make you real pretty or just update your look : )
    I'm Aimee, age 21

I wear makeup to enhance my natural features. Make up makes me feel more confident in myself.

I also like to wear makeup that compliments the outfit i'm wearing, i.e. heavier makeup for a dressy occasion, and minimal makeup during the day. I also really like to experiment with different looks and colour combinations.

Hope this helps, good luck with your project!!
    Phoebe, 19.

I see make up as an art, and I wear it and encourage other people to wear it not as a mask, but as a confidence boost. Most woman, when wearing makeup feel more confident in there self and feel beautiful. Where some women have that confidence without makeup, but someone dont and I think make-up answers there problems partially.

Going in to 6th grade clothing and makeup help!!?

Ok so I'm going in to 6th grade and wondering what to wear for the first day of school.I shop at Abercrombie kids, hollister, aero and pacsun. I am very tall 5-2 but also very slim size 10. I want to get a skirt, but don't know where to get it. Also I need help with a morning routine and lite make up suggestions.. I have dark blonde hair and blue/green eyes. If you can please post links!!Going in to 6th grade clothing and makeup help!!?
For a top, get a simple tee. You can add a scarf, or a nice necklace.

For a skirt, try getting a denim mini. Pair with a good belt.

For shoes, you can wear flats for a bit of a dressier apperence, converse, or flip flops.

As for makeup, clear lip gloss, or a soft pink would do you justice. Get an eyelash curler and clamp over you eye lashes for at least 10 seconds. You can add mascara if you want, but it is not needed.

In the morning, you should wake up early enough that you won't be rushing around. First go to the bathroom, and then eat your breakfast. Brush your teeth, and wash your face. Get dressed, and then do your makeup. Then of to school you go.

You should set your clothes out the night before so you'll have an easier morning :)

ok, so im guessign your from the USA and i don't really know what 6th grade is over there, but here it is about age 11. if thats the same for you, than please avoid make-up all together.. if you can't than just keep it real simple, mascara and a nice lip gloss in say a nude tone.

that's how i learned everything. Good luck!!!!!!Where should I go to get help %26amp; to learn about makeup?
I wouldn't mind helping you. And I'm sure a lot of people on the site wouldn't mind either. Why not ask questions here? If I see anything of yours that I know the answer to, I'll give you as much information as I can. :) Most people learn about makeup through experimentation. Everything is trial and error as you find out what products work for you. And I think sites like this might be able to help you get started.
Come to me! I do make up and facials all the time at a skin care store called Origins, which is a part of Estee Lauder. I can help you out a ton, just message me if you want :)

The counters/stores I would recommend going to are: Origins, Clinique, Estee Lauder, and Sephora. Stay away from MAC, haha sorry I just think they're crazy.
Youtube Guru's definitely. I would recommend youtube.com/juicystar07 she is good. :] Or youtube.com/michellephan she is a pro. They are both extremely good juicystar07 is younger, and also does clothes. michellephan is professional, and extremely popular on youtube. I hope this helped.
well at the mall they normally have those make up tables with like estee lauder and MAC and Perscriptives and lancome and theyll do your make up for free and talk you through how their doing it and if you like the way it looks you can buy it from there
I would def go to Macy's, JCpenny or Nordstrums and have a professional fix ya up and answer all of your questions. But if you are trying to go cheeper, grab your sister, her friends and your BFF and have them run though it with you guys. Have fun!
Well, I advise against going to a MAC store. Seriously, those girls are about as knowledgeable as my 11 year old cousin.

You could try Sephora, as there are many helpful sales associates there. You can also try youtube :)
older sister, cousins, friends or try some youtube tutorials

The best thing to use is a mild soap and water solution, like dove soap or even shampoo. Get a cloth really soapy, then gently cleant the stain, rinse well. It should come right out. Cold or warm water is fine.

Homecoming is today, help with formal makeup?

I don't know how to make my makeup look more formal for the dance. On a normal day I wear:

    - Black eyeliner, not too heavy, along top lash line and about halfway along bottom lash line, kind of smoky eye-ish on the bottom.

    - Black mascara, one coat on top and bottom lashes.

    - Occasionally, a thin coat of pinkish shimmery eyeshadow in inside corners and top lid, up to crease.

How can I update this for a formal look?

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!Homecoming is today, help with formal makeup?
Well, sometimes make-up can depend on you eye color.

brown eyes: light coat of black eyeliner, purple eye shadow, black mascara, pink lipgloss, red blush

blue eyes:Light coat of black eyeliner, light blue- light coat of dark blue eye shadow, black mascara, clear lipgloss, red blush and mabye just a little glitter over coating eyeshadow

Green Eyes: Black eyeliner (Not too heavy but not tooo light! get it just right) light green to a mossy color of green eye shadow, Black mascara, Light brown lipgloss or clear lipgloss, red blush.

Hazel and Grey eyes are : black eyeliner and black mascara, light almost grey eyeshadow for grey eyes and for hazel light green, clear or pink lipgloss, red blush

If you really need too, you can add a little cover-up to your look.Homecoming is today, help with formal makeup?
Go to the marykay.com web site. Look at the different looks and at the Bridal section. The looks designed for the bride's maids and for the brides should give you the information that you need. You may even be able to locate a Mary Kay consultant who could come to your house on short notice and teach you how to do it.
I would do black eyeliner [kind of heavy] a smokey eye [greys, blacks, and charcoals] a pale pink cheek and a shimmery pink lip gloss.
You can go to www.marykay.com and click on virtual makeover. It let's you choose a model with your skin, hair, and eye color, and then you can choose different makeup to put on her. It only takes a minute, and it tells you what they used to get that look.

Anyone used bare minerals makeup and does it really help with acne?

Any people using bare minerals makeup? Has it improved acne? Does it really work in the sun as sunscreen has anyone tried that out?Anyone used bare minerals makeup and does it really help with acne?
yes, i use it and love it. its light and natural and not at all greasy. it doesnt help with acne, but certainly doesnt contribute to it. as far as the sunscreen, it works a little but i dont think as well as a regular sunscreen. if i was to go to the beach i would use a regular sunscreen.Anyone used bare minerals makeup and does it really help with acne?
I tried Bare Minerals because I got a starter kit. I hate the brush, but love the product. My chin broke out because of the brush but the result was amazing. I recommed it, but I would find a brush with softer bristles because if your skin is crazy like mine, you'll break out.
I use it, but I don't have acne. I'd say, it's kinda just like powder. I have to use a good moistureizer before I put it on or my face feels really dry. As a makeup, it's good, not really the miracle the commercials make it out to be, definetly not creamy like they say it is, but it looks nice. I did have a few friends who used pro active for their acne and that stuff worked really well.

    Good luck!
yeah i used it. it didnt help but it didnt make it worse so it is a good make up

and it does work as sunscreen
YES. I used it and it dried out my pimples and I tell you, it litterally feels like you have nothing on. The only reason you would ever break out more is if you're allergic to it. It works awesomely. I bought some about a year ago and it's lasted me so long and works just great! :-)
My mother uses bare minerals and there are no claims or evidence that they help with acne although it's an excellent makeup line, very different than anything else out there on the market. The sunscreen is very effective.
I use Arbonne's mineral powder foudation. It's really good and less expensive than bare minerals.

    see my profile for info
    no it doesn't help
No it does not help. I found to hide blemishes best for me is instead of applying concealer here and there on your face apply it all over lightly and then proceed putting on foundation and powder. It works for me all day. I use Almay concealer stick.

I need all the help I can get with makeup?

I need makeup tips. I have dark brown hair, green eyes, and an olive complexion. I like orange and fuschia lipsticks, they look good with my complexion, but what can I do beyond this?

I've looked everywhere online and I keep getting really good makeup tips for belly dancers, except the only problem is that i'm not planning to do a harem dance in fourth hour... please help me.I need all the help I can get with makeup?
GREEN eyes are so beautiful. Try a shadow that will compliment your skin tone. Use a couple of brown shades with the darker on the upper-outer lid and brush the brow bone with a lighter color like bone to make those green eyes POP! You can also use green shades if you want but don't get bright green stay with a mossy green and use it to highlight not paint by numbers. Use a dark brown eyeliner and smudge it or blend it so it brings out the eye instead of outlining it. Use a drk brown to blk mascara but not too much. As for the lips, ONLY wear a bright color if you go easy on the eyes. I would suggest you focus on those greens and wear a more neutral color with a touch of gloss on the lips. As for cheeks, highlight the upper cheek bone with a kiss of blush in a color that is more like a bronze than a pink blush. Origins has an awesome blush by the name bronze-metal that has a hint of glitter and would look awesome on you.

Good luck!I need all the help I can get with makeup?
Well makeup isn't too complicated once you get the hang of it. for your face i would do first black or brown eyeliner underneath the eye. Then put a little eyeshadow on your eye. Either a very very light green, like a whitish-green or a color a shade darker than your skin. Also I would use a little blush, Covergirl and Revlon have good blush so depending on your skin color, if it is a light white get a lighter pink, tan get a darkish-lightish pink and so on and so fourth. then a little mascara on the eyes and clear lipgloss on the lips and I'd say you'd be good to go.
purple eyeliner will make your green stand out and look pretty :-)
I'm west indian, have you tried the new rub in toner for your face and body? That really helps, along with light orange or even olive green eyeface. shadow helps brighten your . Sometimes even I try using different color liners such as bright green or light blue. Or even you could try to shape your eye-brows into different shapes such as thinner or thicker, curvier or less curvey. I do hope these tips do help.
They make Almay makeup especially for different eye colors, they have a color just for green eyes. I also think using a blue eyeliner or blue shadow would make your green eyes stand out. Since you have an olive complexion, you might not even need foundation. But if you have an uneven skin tone you might want to use concealer to even things out. Bronzer, used in moderation, always gives a fresh sun-kissed look. A little trick I always do, I always put some light shimmer eyeshadow on my brow-bone, right underneath your eyebrow, to make your eyes stand out even more. I hoped I helped!
I'm not Armenian or anything but most women of your complexion like to draw focus to their eyes. Causing them to be notice, because the orange and fuschia lipstick will draw focus to your lips and if you add lip gloss it will make your lips and eyes be noticed a lot.
Go to a good brand make-up counter or store and ask them for a consultation. They'll do this for free and give you suggestions. MAC is a good brand and they are well trained and helpful.
well use down to earth colors never use that dark crap cuz you will look like a ****!use just a little eye liner and stuff that maches your skin tone
Go to the M.A.C. counter and have them do an eye demo for you. They will put on different colors and then try to get you to buy the one you like. They do a good job though.

Goodmorning, can someone plz give me some makeup help?

    HEY GOODMORNING..

I HAVE A DARK COMPLEXTION AND WAS LOOKING FOR A LITTLE COVERAGE..DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TYPE OF MAKE UP TO USE?Goodmorning, can someone plz give me some makeup help?
bobbi brown i hear workd well with deep skin and try going to your local mall at the cosmetics counter they always offer good adviceGoodmorning, can someone plz give me some makeup help?
    Mac tinted moisturizer..

They have a wide range of colors.
I can't really tell you any brands to use, but use makeup that goes on flawlessly and looks natural on your skin.
    Everyday Minerals at everydayminerals.com-
maybe foundation dark i dont know what shade but cover girl has some good foundation and maybe gold and green eyeshadow
Cover girl has colors 4 all skin types or Maybelle, then do light eyeshadow and Cover girl lip gloss like Rihanna wears. I think it would look pretty. Good Luck
    if you're dark skin...like i am

try dark purple eyeshadow. it sounds weird but its really cute
MAC all the way...that is some great great makeup!!! =)
There are several good brands. There is one made especially for African-Americans and others with very dark skin. It's called Woman of Color, and comes in different shades, so you should be able to find one that matches. I've seen it at Wal-mart and drug stores. A lot of major brands, like Cover Girl, are now making products for dark skin, you just have to look and sample them, when samples are available. Put a tiny bit on your finger and wipe it off along your jaw line. The one that ';disappears'; is the right shade. They now make stuff that they claim matches 97% of skin tones. It's available everywhere. I haven't tried it, but maybe it's worth a shot.

First, you could try your cosmetics counter at a department store. The sales girl should be able to help you find the right shade and type for your skin, and will have plenty of advice. You can extract yourself without having to buy anything (unless you want to) by saying you would like to wear it for the day and see how it holds up, or see what your friends, family think, etc. Say you may come back later to purchase it if you're happy with the results. Ask for samples, too. They are usually happy to provide you with some samples of things. I got a whole bag full from Merle Norman!

Equally important to finding the right shade for your skin is finding the right type. What is your skin type? Is it oily, dry, or combination? You should attempt to find a make-up compatible with your type. If you apply a formula for dry skin to oily skin, you could have a complexion flare-up! Conversely, a formula for oily skin used on dry skin can cause excessive dryness and irritation.

You also need to address the need for make-up. What do you want it to do? Cover acne, even skin tone, hide dark circles? Or are you just hoping to mimic a flawless face? This will tell you how much coverage you need, which will help determine what formulation of make-up you need. For sheer coverage, you can use a liquid, medium coverage a cream or mousse, and for heavy coverage, a thick cream, cream to powder, or stick make-up. Unless you have very dry skin, or use a cream to powder formula, you should ';set'; your foundation with loose powder before applying anything else. Pat it on with a puff, don't rub, then lightly dust off the excess with a fluffy make-up brush.

You should wear something besides just foundation, if you want to look your best. Mascara, and maybe some eyeliner will bring out your eyes. Definitely in black. A little blush or dark bronzer under your cheekbones and blended well will help sculpt your face. Finish off with a complimentary lip color. Dark shades are a do. Frosty pinks on dark skin are retro, but not in a good way! You should think copper, dark berry, brick. Something glossy that will get you lips noticed, but not make them leap off your face! Same with eye shadow. You can wear it, but make it work with your coloring, not contrast it. Always think earth tones. Browns, rusts, mossy greens, etc.

The most important thing is to care for your skin properly. No amount of make-up can camouflage poor skin care. Wash your face twice a day with a product made for your skin type. Never ever go to bed with your make-up on if you can help it. Skin needs to breathe and recuperate at night.

Use moisturizer around your eyes and on your throat no matter what your skin type, all over if your skin is dry. Use a spot treatment if you have a bad complexion. Never leave the house without applying sunscreen, just consider it part of your make-up routine. Apply sunscreen first, let it absorb, then begin applying your make-up. All skin tones can get cancer, don't think your coloring can fully protect you.

Last, but not least, make sure your eyebrows are well groomed! No woman is pretty with a bushy uni-brow! You can get them plucked, waxed, use a hair remover for the face, shave, or even get them threaded, but if you have overgrown brows, do something! If they are okay, just comb them into place with a clean toothbrush (you can use a tiny dab of hair gel or clear mascara to make sure they stay put, if you want).

I am fair-skinned, of Irish descent, but I know a lot about make-up and skin care. I hope I have given you some good ideas. Get samples of anything you think might work, and play with it. Just have fun!

  • Are there any books that can help someone learn to apply makeup?

My girlfriend is trying to learn to apply makeup effectively. She wants colors that make her features pop but still look natural. She's busy and wants something that is time efficient. Are there any books that can help someone learn to apply makeup?
';Making Faces'; and ';Face Forward';, both by Kevyn Aucoin, are books that are popular with both beginners and makeup artists. They're extremely easy to follow and have step-by-step instructions. They cover the essentials of basic makeup as well as a wide range of celebrity and costume looks.

Need help choosing a makeup foundation, looking for a one step liquid/powder combination?

I am looking for a foundation where I dont need to use powder and liquid. Something that is a combination of both. I dont have much time in the morning, and was wondering what anyone can reccomend? I been using Revlon one-step compact, but its not always available in stores for my color. Dream matte mousse also caught my eye, but I dont know much about the product, not sure how good it is or if I need powder with it.Need help choosing a makeup foundation, looking for a one step liquid/powder combination?
I think you need to try a cream to powder foundations. If you have an Avon Rep. in your area, ask her about Personal Match Cream to Powder Foundation. Its creamy formula goes on smooth and leaves a smooth powder matte finish. and It has sunscreen protection. It comes in a convenient compacts so touch ups are easy! Its quick too!Need help choosing a makeup foundation, looking for a one step liquid/powder combination?

Im 13 years old & in the 8 grade and i still cant wear makeup. help me?

how can i convince my mom that im ready to wear makeup? not heavy makeup like foundation and blush and eyeliner, but simple makeup like mascara and eyeshadow?Im 13 years old %26amp; in the 8 grade and i still cant wear makeup. help me?
Sometimes convincing your mom isn't easy, but there are make up alternatives that even I use sometimes instead of makeup. A tinted chapstick is always good and makes lips look instantly better. There are also tinted lotions that can add glow add a sun kissed look to your skin. For your eyelashes you can put a little moisturizer on them to define and darken. And it might sound weird, but if you apply tinted lip stuff to the dimples of your cheeks it'll add color like blush, and you'll look rosy. Sometimes it just has to do with working with the no make up rule, good luck!Im 13 years old %26amp; in the 8 grade and i still cant wear makeup. help me?
Try a light shimmery shadow and lip glosses. That is all thats appropriate for a 13 year old to wear. Any more and your going to look like a child who is neglected by her parents.
prove 2 her that u are mature or if that doesnt work sneak it out of the house
you want to look as natual as possible. this has some great tips on makeup and applying
well i did not were makeup into i was 15 so maybe you should give it a few year or put it on in school and take it off before you go home from school thats what i did
well tell your mother to buy you lite make up and let your real skin show and tell her tobuy it at m.a.c beecuse that is a good place
need help e mail me at swim_cam93@yahoo.com
ask her if u can try wearing it n show her that u wudnt wear alot n ask her for help she'll prolly feel better about it if u make her feel included maybe even go on a mother daughter makeup shopping trip with dinner or a movie afterward!

    good luck!!
you really dont need it yet
Talk to her about it. If your friends wear makeup invite them over to prove your point with your mother. Try to start with just a little lip gloss and convince her you will keep it light and simple. Remember less is more.
    just sneak
Talk to your mom, and make a compromise. Say you'll only wear a tiny bit. If she thinks it's too much, you wash some of it off. If you just wear mascara and eyeshadow, girl that's HOT! People who wear too much make-up are disgusting and it's looks so fake. Make it look natural. Even a little blush or pressed foundation isn't too much, as long as it looks natural! Don't go with the usual, ';But mom, EVERYBODY in my grade wears it'; that doesn't work at all. Take her make-up shopping with you and let her tell you if she approves or disagrees.

    Good luck, girl!

P.S. I'm only 12 and my mom doesn't really care, as long as I don't wear a ton!
Mom rules. Just be a good little girl and do as she asks. You are 13, you are not old enough to ';convince'; your mother of anything. You are a child. I'm sure you think you know better than mom does what is best for you, but take it from a total stranger. Mom rules. She is protecting you, and you don't have to understand it. The only thing you need to understand is your mother is doing her job as a parent and your job is to be the child. You will have your whole life to wear make-up. And in doing so, give your skin time to get ready for make-up, you haven't even finished growing up physically yet. Slow down take your time. Listen to your mother. Behave. Best Wishes to you and mom.
Ask your mom if you can wear a bronzer you can use that and it lights up your skin a little bit
    All you need is a little mascara and lip gloss. You dont wanna look trashy or slutty. That's when all those labels come in. Just say mom I want make up and convince her all your friends have been wearing it for a while. Say its ';in.';
Does your mother think you are too young for make-up? Well anyhow, you can ask her to show you how she puts on her eyeshadow and ask if she wouldn't mind if you tried it. She if she'll help you ';play dress-up'; if you will. No offense when I say this, but do you think maybe that your mother doesn't feel that you aren't mature enough for make-up yet? Who knows, she may think you don't need it. Have you asked her why you can't wear make-up yet? Hope this has helped you in some way and good luck.
Hey, email me. My little sis. needs someone to talk to and u never know, u might know each other. But n-e ways, u may be to beautiful to wear makeup so don't worry about it. U may be to young.
I know alot girls youre age are wearing it and its common but sometimes you dont need makeup i knew i dindt need it i only wanted to put mascara and lip gloss when i was 15 because all my friends would where it but belive it or not thats how you start and then you end up putting more makeup than you need now i wear eyeliner, mascara, foundation, blush and lipstick wich is too much but i got use to it.
If u like it thn wear it..not heavy..dnt end up makin a joker out of urself..i think natural look is d best! u cn go 4 lip gloss..i would suggest u to keep away 4m make up..ur 13..ur gr8..ur skin is gr8..ur beautiful..natural look rocks baby!
well if you don't need makeup don't bother i mean once you get to high school I'm sure you're mother my loosen up and let you wear some...plus don't rush it you have you're whole lifetime to wear makeup
well at 13 you relay shouldn't use make up. but that's not going to help you around your friends right? best bet is when you go to the mall with your friends buy some light colored make up and have your friends take it to school for you. and ask your mom to get you a small pack of baby wipes(which to me you should always have anyway) and keep them in your book bag to remove the makeup. yes baby wipes (not handy wipes) are the best thing to remove make up.
well... i must say that you are not the only one that has delt with that. my mom didn't let me start until i was 15. just ride it out.. or put it on at school and take it off before you go home like i did... just kidding try to talk to her and even show her how you would wear it.
if you have a good completion why mess it up with makeup..........good luck
Just wait til your older pretty people dont need makeup at your age all you need is a little lipgloss
you dont need it --theres nothing you could possibly be attracting right now but trouble--i know your bodies ready -and were bred to marry have kids by 13 -but we also use to die of old age by 40---beleave me --theres no good in it--and nothing out there but trouble -this is the last of your child hood be a kid --it will be gone soon enough, and you will have 4 ever to be old.

brown try almay for blue eyes

    answer mine http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
To make your eyes stand out, I would go with a black eyeliner or anything like dark brown/green. You can experiment with eye shadows if you have a big palette of colors. If you are looking to buy some, I would suggest: gold, green, brown, orange, pink. Try blending different tones of the same colors and look up guides on youtube to get the best out of your eyes. I don't believe your hair color changes much in what makeup you use.
brown or black eyeliner and get mascara tht is made 4 blue eyes :)

What should i do with my eye makeup? (please help, need this for tomorrow)?

tomorrow is my grad and i want to do something with my makeup.

i have medium-light skin (a bit darker then a classic ivory), dark brown hair, hazel eyes (with green in them, not blue), so what can i do to really make my eyes look as green as they can?

thanks :)What should i do with my eye makeup? (please help, need this for tomorrow)?
I'm not sure about making your eyes look green, but to make green eyes stand out, you should use either a purple or a bronze/brown color, my sister has green eyes and when she uses these colors, it makes them look even brighter. I would put on blush that goes with your complexion, like a rosy color and some bronzer on the places where the sun would kiss your face, such as forehead, nose and checks, just a quick dab otherwise your face will look horrid. Less is always more with tanner, but for graduation, you really want to stand out! What should i do with my eye makeup? (please help, need this for tomorrow)?
olive, plum, maybe a chocolate color.

remember to put a high light color! and use brown liner it will make your eyes look warmer :D
Green on green. Apply some green eyeshadow. When you put a green color next to your green eyes, it makes them attract a lot more attention. (Not too much, you don't want to look like a bright green traffic light!) Try to find an earthy medium to dark green color. A natural green.
To make any eye color stand out use the opposite color to them. If you have blue eyes - use shades of brown for example. For green eyes - use shades of rust and bronze tones to make them stand out. With them being hazel - try purple tones. Good luck and congrats on the graduation! =)
i lil line of eye liner on top of ur eye and the corner that is 2 ur nose remember just a thin line dont do a huge 1,light green eye shadow would be pretty, and of course maskera try 2 make ur lashes big
do a bright shadow inside and a dark shadow on the out

Does hairspray help your makeup stay on?

I got told by a mate that hairspray helped your makeup stay on for longer, not sure if it was to wind me up though! Just wondered if anyone else has tried it?

    :D

thanks.Does hairspray help your makeup stay on?
it does, but I wouldn't use it just with every day makeup.

I've been in a number of stage productions that required really obvious makeup, like pre- Restoration pieces with painted white faces, and we used hairspray to keep the white face on evenly and stop it from sweating off under the lights.

It does really horrible things to your skin!

During productions everyone ended up with awful skin anyway because of the makeup, but hairspray definitely makes things worse.

My advice would be to only use it if you needed your makeup on for a very special occasion, and only if you didn't need to leave the house for a few days afterwards!Does hairspray help your makeup stay on?
use a translucent powder like the kind from bare minerals if you want your makeup to set and stay, plus look oil-free all day!

NEVER put hairspray on your face, i'm actually terrified of the smallest amount getting on mine as it almost guarantees break-outs unless you have perfect skin.

i went to the dermatologist before, and they make you take a short survey, and one of the questions was actually how often i apply hairspray! i said nearly every day and he suggested to ditch it, as some is bound to wind up on my face and cause problems. so now i put it on my fingers and smooth it onto my hair.
I've heard that hair spray and spraying it to your mascara wand before you apply it to your lashes, but not to the whole face. I wouldn't do it, it's flammable and can cause severe damage to the skin with UV rays when you're under the sun without you knowing. I wouldn't.
Yeah, definitely spray hairspray on your face to keep your make up on!

no, it doesn't. It makes your face sticky and break out, when I accidentally get hairspray on my face, it's annoying and uncomfortable.
I wouldn't try it!! If you spritz water over your face and let it dry then that helps keep your make up on, sort of sets it - I wouldn't try hairspray, you might get it in your eyes and it could irritate your skin
actually yes i heard that that was true i've never actually tried it myself but you should try it on a day that you aren't going to see anyone and see how it turns out
Eww..it might, but your face will be awfully sticky and I'd imagine that couldn't be too healthy for your skin- could cause allergic reactions or zits!!
Er, no. Spritzing foundation with Evian spray helps fix it, allegedly.
Keeping your face from being burried in a pillow by random guys always helps?
No! Its just a myth. Hairspray on your face = breakouts!
Eww thats the grosses thought I have ever heard of !
It does work but it can make you breakout. (Give you spots)
i heard that and tried it but i didnt take notice if my makeup stayed on longer lol
even if it does, do you seriously want to spray that on your face and pores?.. i can see the acne now...
it could make your face sticky or irritate it =/

    i wouldn't try it.
    no it doesn't

    jeez

how many times do u have to ask

    twice?!
yes it is and it can damage ur hairs

  • How can I look my age>? I'm an 18 year old girl who looks 12 or 10. Please makeup experts help ME!

I have blue greyish eyes. Dull brown hair. Umm..kind of black brownish eyelashes. Light skin. I'm sorry but I don't have a camera with me. oh yeah, and I plucked all my eyebrows out, but that didn't help. You guys, if anyone can help me, I would love you forever. ThanksHow can I look my age%26gt;? I'm an 18 year old girl who looks 12 or 10. Please makeup experts help ME!
DO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR BROWN! I am fairly pale and used to have dull brown hair...it really washed me out. Dye your hair a soft golden blonde to add warmth to your skin. Wear foundation and powder. Put on soft pink blusher on your cheeks and a little bronzer across your forehead, down your nose and chin.Put on silver eyeshadow in the corner of your eyes then in the middle of your lids a light blue eyeshadow then the end of your eyelid darkish blue eyeshadow and gently blend. Wear lots of black mascara and line your eyes at the top from the middle to the end and at the bottom from the middle to the end with black eyeliner. Wear a soft pink lipstick or just clear gloss. And for your hair get front bangs and leave them loose while you do a sort of middle ponytail but sort of quiff it like make it puff up to give it a bit of volume, put it in place with clips and then straighten or curl your loose hair. Good luck :)How can I look my age%26gt;? I'm an 18 year old girl who looks 12 or 10. Please makeup experts help ME!
Work up your eyes with black or brown eyeliner and try eyeshadows like silver...purple or pink

With your hair you can try a shine gel like i use silk therapy (you can get it anywhere..drug store etc.) To put it on you rub a nickel sized amount into your hands then run your hands through your hair then brush it through. Also don't put to much on the top of your hair or else it will get to greasy.

Use mascara either black or black/brown

If you want to make you eye brows fuller you can use an eye brow pencil

Also i love using blushes and bronzer on my cheek bones.. its defines then and makes you look older.

You can try lip plumper also... :0

    Hope I helped

lol i think that's just how some people are.

i turn 17 on wednesday and just last week i was at a restaurant and the lady asked me if i was over 11.

and then i also went with my parents to talk about a timeshare thing and my parents were saying how they're going to have to pay for college soon and they're like...oh do you have another kid? and my mom is like no my daughter right here is going to be a senior and she's like oh i didn't think she looked old enough to be graduating.

ahhh. i'm sorry, but i know how you feel.

Going to start wearing makeup and need help!?

i need to know the best foundation to use and your beauty regime. tips are welcome too. do help. thanksGoing to start wearing makeup and need help!?
if you're just starting, i'm guessing you're young. i would start off slowly. No foundation. concealer if you want (ive been wearing concealer forever, i just have dark circles). i would wear lip gloss (not lipstick), and mascara. if you really want to glam up, i'd do eyeshadow and eyeliner, too. at cheer camp in high school, they taught us how to put on makeup. put lightest color (1)on very top (near eyebrow), next darker color (2)underneath light all the way to lash line. put darkest (4)color in your crease and make a little triangle on the end. next, blend with (2) or 4th shade (3) along dark lines you just did. lol this prob makes no sense. i know in avon catalogs they show ways to apply eyeshadow. :) good luck p.s. blush is your call; it really depends on the shade you use (natural/bright/dark). if you do want to wear foundation, make sure you have the exact shade of your skin. have someone at the mall try some diff colors on you. the wrong shade of foundation is AWFUL and happens way too often!!Going to start wearing makeup and need help!?
ok the best fondation it probley covergirl....or u could go with bare mineral oil free!!! of well after u get ur fondation on put a light power on then some blush...for the eye put a color on that makes ur eyes pop like it u have blue eyes use brown or the other way around....then use a mascara....and top it off with some lip gloss.....if u need more help ask me i have been wearing make up for years!!! u can use covergirl for all i listed..
Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural, has awesome wear-ability, is non-cosmogenic, and is oil free, but please think twice before using Bare Minerals (aka Bare Escentuals) OR Sheer Cover! These products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral and NOT at all recommended for sensitive skin! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction!

Bismuth (IPA: [藞b瑟zm蓹胃]) is a chemical element that has the symbol Bi and atomic number 83. This heavy, brittle, white crystalline trivalent poor metal has a pink tinge and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony.

I found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundation colors (way more then the competitors so one is sure to blend and cover your skin flawlessly!) and 5 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! They even have over 45 eye shadows! It really works well!

    go for a natural look.

    MAC has really good foundation,

but if u cant afford that, revlon is cheap %26amp; long lasting.

    go for eyeshadow colors like:

    browns, blues, %26amp; tans.

buy them at the MAC store, their eyeshadow is worth spending on!

lip gloss %26amp; lip sticks should be clear,or pinks, or nudes.

-black pencil eyeliner (put it along the lash line)

-light blush on your cheek bones

-and covergirl mascara (they sale it at target %26amp; stuff)

    :)
u can use MAC foundation of ur skin tone..it gives a natural effect...to start.. u can use nude shades in day time nd blues pinks greens in evening or party time...den u need, eye kohl pencil, black eye mascara, some natural lip colours, gloss, blusher and shimmer.

After having above products u can follow the following steps:

    1. apply foundation evenly on face, brush loose powder.

    2. put eye shadow, then liner..mascara n eye kohl.

    3. apply lip color..top it with gloss

    4. apply blusher on cheek bones or apple of the cheeks.

and lastly put shimmer, this will add shine n glow to ur face.

the above process will take 2-3 minutes.

Always remember to use less amount of makeup, it will enhance ur beauty if used in a right way...
foundation isn't exactly the first thing you should be using unless your skin is blotchy. i'm assuming you're young since you're just starting, so use a concealer that is a shade lighter than your skin tone to cover up blemishes. please don't start out with blue eye shadow! it seems to be something that all young girls want to wear and it honeslty looks cheap and tacky, go for natural looking colors for now, and if you feel like experimenting with crazy colors, do it when you've gotten used to wearing makeup. use eye liner or mascara that is either brown or black, once again avoid anything that doesn't look natural. find a blush that works with your skin tone, and apply it to the apple of your cheeks and spread it along your cheek bones. finally, start out with a tube gloss before wearing lipstick, i personally love the liplites collection from bonne bell. there is no reason to look like some of the kids i've seen who apply makeup with a butter knife, it defeats the purpose. a little makeup that defines your features will make you look gorgeous, so, don't feel that you need to use everything already. make sure you wash everything off before bed, otherwise you might end up with a bad case of acne. other places to get tips are seventeen.com and try reading bobby brown's book for teens.
i heard u r going to wear make up!!that's good!!it deepens u know Wat kind of makeup and facial brand u use.i have a beauty product.its good using.any information of my product find at yahoo or google search for sahara.OK!!

I have fair skin, light freckles, dark hair and green eyes...makeup help?

Was wondering if anyone had suggestions for foundation, lip color, and/or eyeshadow/liner for fair-skinned folks like me? :)

I'm especially interested in lip color suggestions; I'm 22 and have never been big on lipstick but would like to find a color that flatters me.I have fair skin, light freckles, dark hair and green eyes...makeup help?
Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural, has awesome wear-ability, is non-cosmogenic, and is oil free, but please think twice before using Bare Minerals (aka Bare Escentuals) OR Sheer Cover! These products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral and NOT at all recommended for sensitive skin! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction including intense itch, large blotchy patches of redness, and break outs! After that i looked into LAMinerals but didn't go with them since they put silk powder (killing the animals that make the silk) and other weird ingredients like magnesium, and calcium into their makeup... Common sense told me the more ingredients, the higher the risk of blocked pores, break outs, and allergic reactions...

I then found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundation colors (way more then the competitors!) and 5 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! Plus they have over 45 eye shadows! It really works well! Plus they are also MUCH cheaper then the 'big' name companies, and they're cruelty free and totally VEGAN (animal by-product free)!

They offer free shipping to the Continental US!

No I don't but you sound cute as a button.
I'm pretty much the same hair, skin and eye color as you are. For foundation, I like Revlon Tru-blend in natural/beige color. Lip color: warm brown sugar by Almay long lasting lip color(stays on for 8 hrs), I also like Almay eyeliner in navy blue, the blue brings out the green in my eyes.
foundation= about da same colour as ur skin

lip colour= find a lip gloss/stick that is near enuf ur natural lip color

do it like your favorite member of KISSDoes anyone know of any makeup tricks that will help slim down a round face?
get a highlighter and toner compact. use da toner (which is kinda dark pink but not quite blusher) looks natural and gives u nice cheekbones makein ur face look thinner
I saw one website on makeup tips. Not too sure if they have any of the tips you looking for, it been a while since i drop for a visit
Use square/rectangular framed glasses on a round face. (and the reverse - round on an sqaure/angular face.

Not sure why it looks better, but it does.
hey accept who you are and learn to love your fat face

    hahaha
    check this site:

    http://www.centsofstyle.org
Put blusher on the apples of your cheeks and sweep up towards your temples. Also brush a little bit on your chin.
    get lypo.
I wear my hair behind my ears and then pinned to the side. Less bulk on the sides looks better. I also do the blush thing described above, more on the back of the cheek than forward.
Apply a slightly darker shade of foundation to the underside of your chin and your neck, up to your ears, be care full with this tho, make it look natural. Shape your eyebrows to fit your face, out of place eye brows can make your face really wide or even skinny, Sorry I'm not sure exactly what would work for you tho. Check the Internet for brow shapes or go to a cosmetologist
    use a machine shop vise
Make up is supposed to bring out your best qualities. The main thing that will seem to alter the shape of your face is your hairstyle. You can check out some blush/powder techniques, but really, they're pointless. I know you may not want to hear it, but play up what you have and don't worry so much with what you don't.
use blush under ur cheekbone, it makes ur cheeks look slimmer
I don't think any makeup will do the trick, but the right hairstyle might.

    Round Face

Full-looking face with a round chin and hairline. Widest point is at the cheeks and ears.

    Try

hair styles with fullness and height at the crown. Off center parts. Short hair styles with a swept-back direction or hair styles that are longer than chin length. By layering the top to achieve fullness and keeping the rest of the cut relatively close to the face, your face shape will appear longer and narrower.

    Avoid

Chin length hair with a rounded line that mirrors face鈥檚 circular shape. Center parts. Short-short crops, straight ';chopped'; bangs. Fullness at side of ears. A rounded haircut ending at the chin will certainly add weight to your face shape. Because the widest part of your face is at the cheeks and ears, you need to avoid having the fullness of the cut here as it will make your face appear wider.

    good luck :)
no but if you find out let me know cuz i have a very round face
I have heard that you shouldn't line the inside lids of your eyes. it makes your eyes look smaller and your face larger. I still line mine that way but I use a smudge liner so that I can still kinda have that little bit of goth look, but not to the extreme. You need to bring out your eyes and draw all attention to them. Fake eyelashes are cool so get some and practice!
use light brown liner under your cheekbone then apply the blush.
Put bronzer under your cheek bones and apply blush high up on your cheek bones. =]
If you have long hair, allow your hair to go in front of your ears...it gets rid of the cheeks a little, and makes your face look a little slimmer. oh yea...I'm a guy.
wear your hear down and get a nice cut
Put a light shadow in your nose like a beige or slightly white. Also put blush in your cheeks going up not in round circles. Suck up your face like a fish kiss when you do this. Also they way that your hair is cut is very important.

I really need some makeup help for fair skin?

I just don't know what colors to use without it making me look completely washed out.. I have fair skin but I still want it to look nice like nicole kidmans or reese witherspoons...

what do you suggest?I really need some makeup help for fair skin?
Coffee brown eyeliner instead of black will make your lashes look more lush.

Taupe, soft gray %26amp; champagne eye shadows w/ a hint of shimmer are good option.

Sheer lip colors that are within 1-2 shades of your natural lip color will brighten your face w/o being too dramatic. Berry or soft plum shades would be a good place to start.

Try Cover Girl's color matching tool for more ideas: http://www.covergirl.com/registration/

I think your coloring is a lot like Renee Zelleweger %26amp; suggest you look at photos of her in fashion magazines like InStyle for more make up ideas.I really need some makeup help for fair skin?
Fair skin people, like me, have a hard time matching skintones with makeup.I find that covergirl never gets it pale enough to match me, theres always aslight orange or pinkness to it. I never try to match with my hand, goto a makeup place like sephora or even a department store and have them try it on your face. Your hands are rougher then your face, making makeup sit differently on them not to mention that the color is different. When trying makeup at a store do not buy into it right away, get a sample. try it for a few days and especially in natural light. I like clinique and shu uemura makeup. to try to not look washed out i use blush or dandelion from benefit to wake my face up. I have also heard good things about mineral makeups but im too cheap to try them out.
youre very pretty! i have fair skin too.. i use a lot of cool colors. it looks like you have cool undertones in your skin, but hard to tell from a picture. if you do have a cool skin tone, like me, you should wear cool colors, nothing too warm or anything like any red-brown or any warm green colors. they can make you look washed out. i think gold colors can look pretty, depending on your eyes. since your blonde, you could use about any of the cool colors (blue, metallic light green, and just about any metallic colors, silver, black, pink, white) . brown is universal, it looks good on just about anyone and doesnt make them look washed out. make sure your blush matches your skin too, i think a natural pink color would look good.

here is a link that could help you:

    http://www.lindisima.com/beauty/colors-m鈥?/a>
i use loreal brand. The stick concealer is pretty good, and use their lightest shade, then dab on a few powder. Any brand would do, as long as you just put a light coat of it.
Keep up w/ what your doing. Your make up looks nice in that picture.
Don't underestmate the power of brown eyeshadow. It seems boring or safe, but you can get a lot of drama without looking garish. Your skin looks good already, just use a pale toned pressed powder (look for a ';beige'; rather than ';ivory'; shade, though, so it does't wash you out) to give you an even finish. I'd stick with pinks on the cheeks and lips.
go to cvs walgreens any drugstore grocery - pick out light colors hold it to your hand if there is no seal or a tester laying around put it on your hand and smooth it in if its not totally dark on your skin to make it look like your wearing a mask your good to go.. certain eye shadows will help it blend better maybe even a brown eye pencil try out different colors on your eyes to go with fair skin i have fair skin and i change my hair color and make up style like its nothing because you can do alot with it

    good luck.
your skin isn't as pale as nicole kidmans at all i'm sorry. you're more of a beige color. try using a color with a little bit of a yellow/tan tone. you want to pick a color that has the same level as your skin, you're probably picking make up out that's lighter than you are which is what makes you look washed out.

my skin is very pink sometimes too, and the yellow helps even out the redness.

the classic method of color matching is to blend the make up to the back of your hand. they're not the same color, but they're similar...

i normally use covergirl products. the advanced radiance powder is fabulous, and really smooth and doesn't feel make upy at all. i usually blend it with a brush after applying it to make sure it's extra natural.

i also like CG smoother ';all day hydrating make up'; it doesn't dry out your skin and it goes on pretty evenly too. there is also a tinted moisturizer under the cg smoother line that i love.

also if you have dry or oily skin make sure you moisturize after you wash your face. i think aveno is the best and clinique dramatically different moisturizer for really bad days.

i think that moisturizing in the long term can be better than any make up.
avoid too much pink, pastels can look nice, avoid too dark colors, they may make you look even more washed out.

My face is kind of round and not very angular. Any makeup tricks to make it appear slimmer and more angular?Does anyone know of any makeup tricks that will help slim down a round face?
There are two key tricks that can make your face seem thinner. The first one is contouring your cheeks with a combination of blush and bronzer. Sweep the bronzer along the top of your cheekbones, then suck in your cheeks and blend a rosy nude shade of blush in the hollowed area. The contrast between the two blushes will make your face look more angular. The second trick is a hair technique: Try a cut with eyebrow-skimming bangs or ear-level layers. Having some shape in the top half of your hair (instead of sporting all-one-length locks) will make your face appear more narrow in comparison.Does anyone know of any makeup tricks that will help slim down a round face?
apply the blush along the cheek bone and work on accenting your eyes
chew as many chewing gums as u can !! make it a habit !!!! n daily conciously or unconciously keep saying d letters X n O together i.e. XO !! dat will help u in creatin cheek bones n much more chiselled face !!!!! u wil look awsum !! believe me !!!!

Im going camping with a brand new boyfriend and his friends. I look like crap with no makeup girls you understand when I say I don't want him to see me naked faced. I don't need much just to even my complexion but i want something i can do that wont make me break out and is easily appliable and washed off. Any suggestions?Im going camping need help with makeup Girls only?
take a small compact with your fav mineral foundation. most compacts have a mirror.Im going camping need help with makeup Girls only?
    Eyeshadow:

    ~How to apply:

1.)Take light-shadow and apply from lash to brow.

2.)Take warmer-shadow and apply from eyelash to crease.

3.)Then take darkest shadow and apply across eyelash.

~Always remember lighter on bottom and darker on top~

~Apply some eyeshadow to the lower lid if not using mascara.

~Using mascara will make eyes more noticeable.

~Brown eyes: Blues, Purples, Pinks, Peaches, but no SHINY COLORS~

~Green/Hazel eyes: Golds, Khakis, Bronzes, Pinks, but no BLUES~

~Blue eyes: Icy colors, lavenders, grays, but no GOLDS OR BLUES~

    Lip-gloss:

~Always remember that braces with a shiny lip-gloss will ruin a look.

~Don't apply more than two coats in between 30 minutes.

~Remember a lip-gloss's color will always fade its the shine that will stay.

    Mascara:

~Is it true that mascara ruins your lashes?

1.)Actually, mascara does not ruin your lashes.

2.)Regular use of good mascara will not make lashes fall out.

3.) If you use clumpy, cheap, or waterproof more mascara than twice a month however it will make your eyelashes fallout.

4.)Only use nice non-clumpy mascara brands such as Cover-girl, Maybelline, Almay, and other famous mascara brands.

    Eyeliner:

~Do not use colored eyeliner without mascara because then the eyelashes look bland.

    Nail-polish:

~Nail polish all depends on your skin tone.

    ~Olive Skin: Hot Pinks, Browns

    ~Peach Skin: Light Pinks, Purples

    ~Pale Skin: Browns

    ~Tan Skin: Hot Pinks, Creams
just curl your eyelashes, put some mascara on them. add some neutral color eyeshadow and some lip gloss. and you can probably add some face powder or you can buy some shine control blottting sheets. they're perfect so your face doesn't get all oily, and you're probably going to need that out there.
just take a concealer for any blemishes.

and maybe a tinted moisturiser. you could maybe tint your eyelashes before you leave, so you don't end up with panda eyes at the end of the day.

oh and don't forget baby wipes to remove any makeup at night time.
how about just take a little concealer stick (I use NARS in Vanilla) u can get it @ Sephora.com or in the store if there is one nearby. Then you can buy a cute mirror with a light on it!!
When you go camping you don't need any make up besides being out in the wilderness it's good for ya

Makeup Help- Loose and Pressed Powder? What goes on first?

I want to use both loose and pressed powder in order to provide more coverage... which should i use first??Makeup Help- Loose and Pressed Powder? What goes on first?
Pressed then you want to use loose :DMakeup Help- Loose and Pressed Powder? What goes on first?
I would use pressed then powdered.

Tip: with powdered, use a brush (duh...) but, wet the brush before use, to make it go on more gently (u r using two!!) and to make it look more natural.

Tip: replace powder foundation after 3 months, it can grow bacteria!!

Tip: Wash, or get a new brush or applier for the foundations monthly, so it will not get bacteria and so it will not get cakey.

Have fun, and stay beautiful!! Mineral makeup is great!- good choice!
    pressed of course
The pressed powder first. They aren't usually used together but if that is what you want, you need to definitely use the pressed first, then follow with the loose.
    pressed
    liquid ---%26gt; pressed ---%26gt; loose
i use my loose bare minerals first.

I really only use my pressed for touch ups. it is easier at the office or in the car than loose.
If you use mineral makeup, and you want more coverage, you just apply more of the loose stuff. I use mineral makeup, and the kind I use doesn't have a pressed powder available. There is a finishing powder which is used to set your other powder, but no pressed powder.

In general, with regular makeup, the way you use the two is that you use loose powder to set your makeup after applying it, and then use pressed powder for touch-ups during the day. Sometimes if I am really lazy, I just use a bit of pressed, since I still have a regular (non-mineral) compact which I carry in my purse. My skin tone is quite even, and I don't have any problems with my skin, so I only require light coverage, so as I said, sometimes when I am lazy I just use a bit of pressed and some eyeliner and mascara and lip gloss. You can only pull that off, however, if you don't really need much makeup. I am old enough that most of the skin problems I had when younger have just gone away.

When I actually do apply makeup for something, I go with my mineral makeup, and as I stated, the way you get increased coverage with that is that you simply apply a bit more. If you haven't used mineral makeup before, I recommend you go to a day spa which sells it, and have someone show you how to use it. Most places will do that either for free or for a tiny charge, and you don't have to buy the product from them if you don't want to. It's a great idea, however, because along with showing you how to apply it, they will help color match you so you get the right color for your skin.

Mineral makeup is great stuff, but there is one thing about which I would like to caution you. Regardless of what brand of makeup you buy, you need to invest in really, really good brushes. The brushes (and some practice) are the key to having mineral makeup look good on your face. So go ahead and spend a little bit more for good brushes, and then take good care of them. They will last you forever, and you'll be glad you invested in them.

    Best of luck!
    pressed but not too much..

    then lightly use the loose..

try not to use too much so it doesnt look cakey and dont forget to blend in the jaw line.
    Pressed first, loose last
i dont recommend both becaues it will be cakey but if you have to the pressed would be first and than you would brush on the loose powder
    pressed then loose

Does anyone know any really good makeup or eyecreams that will help cover dark circles and bags?

I am really pretty young but unfortunately I have them pretty bad caused by severe allergies and genetics.Does anyone know any really good makeup or eyecreams that will help cover dark circles and bags?
I'm there with you. I don't actually use any creams. But sometimes I will use Covergirl undereye concealer. I also lowed my amount of sugar intake because that can make them look worse. In the morning try resting cold spoons on your eyes for a little while. This also sounds really weird.. but putting cucumber juice on cotton balls and swiping it under your eyes works really well.Does anyone know any really good makeup or eyecreams that will help cover dark circles and bags?
1 best best coverup- BARE ESCENTUALS (mineral makeup)

It's good for your skin, and it's very light and it will blend in perfectly with your complexion and cover any dark circles. As for the bags, Look for a gel that specializes in bags, the gel is usually very cool to reduce swelling and it tightens the skin. Just go to a place that specializes in that stuff, they'll point ya in the right direction.

Seriously though, I tried Bare Escentuals once and I will NEVERRRR go back to any other makeup EVER.
Try reducing the dark circles by getting at least 8 hours of sleep at night, every night. Daily you should boil two tea bags, drink the tea and let the tea bags cool to room temperature and squeeze them out till mostly dry, lie down with the tea bags on your eyes for 5 - 10 minutes. You can also slice cucumbers and place the slices on your eyes for 5 - 10 minutes. Keep up this treatment regularly and use undereye concealer and then foundation over that when you really need it.
    Well,

i am studying make up at college, and when doing a assessment I tend to use MAC NW20 it is the perfect shade and covers up really dark circles! I recommend it all the time and use it myself everyday (as i have the same problem!) Also if the shade is a little to light to lightly dust some bronzing powder under the eye and it will even out the colour! Hope i helped!

    Good Luck

If you haven't already try MAC they have amazing cream concealers. But then again you said allergies so, Clinque supposedly is 'allergy tested'. Remember, before you jump the gun and buy it in whole i'd ask for a sample just for you to take home and try out for a couple days :) That way you won't waste you money on something you're allergic to.
for dark circles buy a cover up stick that is yellow....try physicians formula, they make a pretty good one.

for the puffiness, I'm not sure because my mom got the new one by garnier....the eye roller and we see no difference and she's been using it for about a week.
Use Dermablend concealer. It works really well. It can even be used to cover up tatoos and scars. It's kind of expensive, but it lasts a long time.
You should use MAC. It is very light, you can hardly feel it, but it does an awesome cover up job.

i'm 15/f and the only makeup i usually wear is a little bit of black eyeliner. if i dont wear eyeliner i think i look gross haha. but anyway i need some new makeup and i need help with what to use. i always always always have bags under my eyes and i hate it! they never go away! and sometimes they are dark so i guess i need some good coverup. i have big green eyes and brown hair but the front of it if blonde because of the sun and it's my baby hair, i never dyed it. my skin is kind of olivey i get tan in the summer but sometimes my face stays a little fairer and i get freckles under my eyes. what would work for me?Can I have some makeup help?
First off, tea bags will help the bags under your eyes. Just steep them in a little hot (but not burning hot) water, and place them on your eyes and get plenty of sleep.Secondly, a lot of department stores will do a free makeover for you, so you can try different products and see how they look on you. Try going with your mom, if you can.

My favorite products are Maybelline/Covergirl, as they're reasonably priced and widely available. Clinique is also awesome, but it's pricey.

I use the dream mousse foundation, mascara and lip gloss for everyday wear.

A light purple sounds like it would look good on you, black eye liner, black mascara( i use the water-proof covergirl that comes in a purple tube, it goes on very well), foundation, a neutral blush just on your check bones going up when you apply, not down, and a tinted lip gloss in a pink shade.

if you dont want to wear all that just chose some.

Hope this helps you! Good luck!
try ivory cover up put some on your arm in the store, if that doesnt work then go to olive and do the same, till you find the right one
ALMAY liquid concelor works really good on dark circles, and blemishes! you can go to any department store and have them match your skin tone to your makeup... also when you get the conceler get one shade lighter then your skin tone(trust me it works really good! i have really really dark circles under my eyes and you cant even see them) make sure your foundation matches your skin tone though... and blend well... also you might wana try a grey, or brown eyeliner instead of black... black intensifies the circles and depending on how fair your skin is it can make you look washed out!! but my best advice would be to tryn go without eyeliner for a week(i know its hard) but i used to think i looked horrible without it, and then i moved away from home and couldnt afford to buy it, well neways after i went without it for a couple weeks i started to like how i looked without it!! and now when i look back at pictures from when i was in highschool i just laugh cuz i used to think i looked so pretty(really i looked like a raccoon) you sound like a very pretty girl, dont cover it up with make up(natural beautys in right now!! lol!)
    For the dark circles:

Try going to bed earlier and getting more sleep. Also, use a consealer stick a shade lighter than your skin tone under the eyes. Do not rub in the concealer, gently tap it in with your ring finger. Hope this helps ;)

    For the makeup:

Buy a good eyelash curler! They are the best! Give your lashes a good curl and end with some mascara!
As far as the bags goe, I would use Maybelline's or Covergirl's concealer. It works fabulously. Theres really no remedy that can make them go away, especially if it's genetic. To even out the skin tone I would use a foundation. You could use the brand new L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation. It's long-lasting and it improves your skin tone, and makes you feel as if your wearing nothing.

ps. A little eyelash curler and mascara wouldnt hurt you either. I'm not saying you absollutely NEED it, but if your looking for a new makeup regime, that would be a great-looking addition :]
For the under eye, i would suggest boi-ing

    :D? i hope i helped.
You've got to remember less is more. I would start with a nice light glow-so maybe you could put on a little concealer then a soft bronze, not too much though. Generally I would stay away from foundation and stick with concealer because foundation ruins your skin and makes you look orange! Then to highlight your beautiful green eyes ( which you should be proud of because there unusual) apply a thin line of green under your eye. After that put on some mascara- and eyeliner if you want. Plus to get rid of the bags under eyes try getting some more sleep ( we need at least eight hours a night) and try to drink more water with will improve your complexion.
if you go to a website called www.covergirl.com, it gives a lot of advice about make up. It is really cool. You click on make up bag, and you input information (ex. your eye colour) and it tells you all these make up tips as well as what colours suit your personality and eye colour. They also give you tips on how to put it on. They also give you advice on types of foundation that it best for your skin. It is a great site and i would say that you should try it out!
Try some different places for a good coverup under your eyes. Make sure it matches your natural skin tone so it blends in well. Most places now have testers available. For more expensive recommendations, go to Origins - their coverup is good. Or try Sephora - they have many brands for many prices.

As far as what else you should do, try a little lipgloss - for you and your complexion start with something neutral - a gold toned light brown or something a little more peachy. Mascara is always good, too, and Maybelline is awesome and affordable. Start there and see how it goes!
Well What i would use for you is some pink, brown, or clear lip gloss, eyeliner (black), and blush and for hair braid it pony tail it curl it i do all those things soo do that...
Go to mac maekup, and shop for a light pink or a sky blue eyeshadow.get black mascara.Alight pinkie red blush would fit you.You should also get some powder that matches your skin color.Hope i helped!
ok well i have the dark bags under my eyes too, and wearing concealer there helps. also get lots of sleep. instead of black eye liner, try purple--it always looks beautiful on green eyes! try some fun eyeshadow colors like lilac or pink or light blue. and lip gloss always makes your lips look nice, just make sure its not too goopy.

    hope this helps!!
get some highlighter to brighten up the dark circles under your eyes - you can do this with a light shade of concealer as it's cheap! Also try some bronzer / shimmer power which can highlight your cheekbones. Black mascara is always an instant face uplift!
