Homecoming is today, help with formal makeup?

I don't know how to make my makeup look more formal for the dance. On a normal day I wear:

- Black eyeliner, not too heavy, along top lash line and about halfway along bottom lash line, kind of smoky eye-ish on the bottom.

- Black mascara, one coat on top and bottom lashes.

- Occasionally, a thin coat of pinkish shimmery eyeshadow in inside corners and top lid, up to crease.

How can I update this for a formal look?

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!Homecoming is today, help with formal makeup?
Well, sometimes make-up can depend on you eye color.

brown eyes: light coat of black eyeliner, purple eye shadow, black mascara, pink lipgloss, red blush

blue eyes:Light coat of black eyeliner, light blue- light coat of dark blue eye shadow, black mascara, clear lipgloss, red blush and mabye just a little glitter over coating eyeshadow

Green Eyes: Black eyeliner (Not too heavy but not tooo light! get it just right) light green to a mossy color of green eye shadow, Black mascara, Light brown lipgloss or clear lipgloss, red blush.

Hazel and Grey eyes are : black eyeliner and black mascara, light almost grey eyeshadow for grey eyes and for hazel light green, clear or pink lipgloss, red blush

If you really need too, you can add a little cover-up to your look.Homecoming is today, help with formal makeup?
Go to the marykay.com web site. Look at the different looks and at the Bridal section. The looks designed for the bride's maids and for the brides should give you the information that you need. You may even be able to locate a Mary Kay consultant who could come to your house on short notice and teach you how to do it.
I would do black eyeliner [kind of heavy] a smokey eye [greys, blacks, and charcoals] a pale pink cheek and a shimmery pink lip gloss.
You can go to www.marykay.com and click on virtual makeover. It let's you choose a model with your skin, hair, and eye color, and then you can choose different makeup to put on her. It only takes a minute, and it tells you what they used to get that look.
