Eye makeup help for a teenager?

I've realized I am in need of help with my makeup. Apparently, I've been wearing it too dark.

I'm a sophmore in highschool, with dark-light blonde hair and blue eyes.

I try to make my eye makeup look edgy and stylish, without looking ';whoreish';.

Any tips, tricks, help?

Everyhing from eyeshadow to eyeliner. Please!Eye makeup help for a teenager?
I know how hard it can be to find your style as a teen starting out with makeup. The temptation can be to wear alot of makeup to try and look edgy. Sometimes less can be more. If you have blue eyes then playing them up with shades of coppery browns and peachy pinks will make that blue pop. Doing a smokey eye with shades that have coppery undertones will just rock your baby blues. Use a warm toned brown liner to create that smudgy look, such as MAC Teddy liner. The smudgy liner look is huge right now and great for those who aren't as good as applying their liner in a perfect line. This would make a great look for every day as it is easy, yet has a good bit of drama.

If you are looking to do something a litte more edgy, glossy liquid liners with a retro flare is hot for this season. Two toned liner looks are very in as well. Try picking one bold color to use on your lid, such as MAC Electric Eel, and then create a thick line with white liner and then use a waterproof black liquid liner to line right up against the lash line, bringing it to a slight point at the outer rim. Add a little black mascara and you're done. This creates an amazing two tone look with some visual impact without going over the top. For a night look, take some black kohl pencil and line the inner rim of your lower lash line (waterline). Smudge some of the shadow onto your lower lash line and blend it well.

If you are doing a dramatic eye then make sure your face looks flawless. If you have decent skin I recommend using a tinted moisturizer with an SPF in it. Then all you have to do is use a bit of concealer to cover any blemishes and you are done. Throw a touch of blush on your cheeks to give you a gentile flush. Try Benefit blush in Throbbb. It is amazing, especially on blondes. You also want to keep the lip fairly neutral when doing a dramatic eye. A nice neutral sandy pink is great, such as MAC Viva Glam V (and whats better is it is for charity) or the new Viva Glam VI Fergie edition. Just a touch of color and shine to let your eyes be the center of the attention.

Right now MAC has the Fafi collection out. The eye quad # 1 would be a good match for blue eyes. I suggest heading down you your local MAC counter, find an artist there whose makeup you like and ask for some help. The Fafi collection is all about edge. It is a great time to pick up something special, especially since it has awesome limited edition packaging that has cute artwork on it.

Make sure you use the right brushes as well. This makes a HUGE difference in how your makeup comes out. While I would love if everyone could afford to run out and buy a $300 set of professional brushes, that just isn't realistic. I suggest checking out the Costco Kirkland brush set. It is about $22 and is great. The brushes hold up and there are enough brushes in there to acheive most makeup looks easily. It is a decent set and is a good place to start.

I also suggest checking out some good tutorials online as they can show you some good techniques and give you some inspiration. Here are some good ones to check out:

Also, the book Making Faces by Kevin Aucoin really helped me improve my technique when I was just starting out. It might be worth checking out. He was an AMAZING artist, and one of the best makeup tallents of our time. He is sorely missed.

Hope this might have been helpful!Eye makeup help for a teenager?
dont use too much blush on your cheeks.

dont put on too much eyeshadow.

i think you should just stick with some eyeliner and mascara

and avoid putting on too much
if your blond with blue eyes you should stay away from dark colors like purples, dark browns and defiantly BLACK also blue doesn't look good on anyone! eyeliner...brown eyeliner is great if you have fair to medium skin tone. if you have small eyes you should line on the out side of the bottom lashes to make them appear bigger. also stay away from dark black mascara if you have blond eyelashes you use dark brown. There are so many ways to make your eyes pop and look edgy just experiment on the weekends and stuff! I hope this helps!
trust me .. with the kind of looks u have ,,, I would recommend u to wear only natural coloured shimmer on the lid and go heavy on mascara ... without eye liner.. and use only lip gloss / no lip color... try this once
With blue eyes, I would try different colors of pink to make them ';pop';. Use a darker pink in the area closest to your lashes. Use a medium pink for the basic area of your eye, and an extremely light pink for the top outside edge (near your eye bow).

For eyeliner, I would try a brown color so that it won't look to dark. Starting on the outside, draw a thin line right under your bottom eyelashes. Don't go all the way to the corner of your eye, just go about half-way. Also, to make it look not so harsh, you might want to take a Q-tip and lightly rub the eyeliner to make it slightly lighter...without wiping it all off.

If you want you could also add some mascara to the top and bottom lashes. Just make sure you don't get it clumpy.

Good luck!
Avoid using black and purple with blue eyes. Black eyeliner and eyeshadow can be too harsh and purple brings out a red sick hue in people with light eyes, generally.

Contrasing colors such as brown or slate work well with blue eyes. Colors similiar to blue eyes such as blue and green tend to blend in too much with the eyes...seeming to blend the eyes in...insead of bringing them out.

Right now the trend in makeup is more of a dramatic lip and less of an eye...where in the past the dramatic eye a nude lip were popular. So play up the lips, use a soft color eyeshadow and maybe line the top lid with a cream eyeliner.

During the day I would avoid lining top and bottom lids. Only line the top. For more of an evening look you could line top and bottom. But never line bottom alone. Besides lining the bottom can often add to darkness around the eye are (which we all hate)
The Tricks to Keep Your Eyes as Focus

http://www.facenbodycare.com/makeup_tric鈥?/a>

The trick is to keep your eyes as the focus. Stay away from frosted or pearlised shadows, which are distracting Use matte, neutral tones for cheeks and lips.
Try drawing your eyeliner just a little past the edge of your eye for an edgier look. Don't wear a lot, though. I wouldn't even wear any on bottom lashes.
if you want to look edgy but not like a whore the stay away from black and dark-dark brown eye shadows. you should probably wear eyeliner thin on the top and bottom.
dont wear foundation / concealer.

wear your blush right. ( suck in cheeks to find jawline ).

not too much eyeliner. use mascara and an eyelash curler. it looks really good.

if you wear alot of make up at school, you wouldnt look special when you're out.
