Makeup help?

need help with eyeliner i can never get it close enough to my eye so it doesnt make me look dead. and my mascara just makes it worse. so makeup tips for those things? and maybe a recommened eyeliner and mascaraMakeup help?

1. Use a pencil eyeliner. Pull down on the bottom of your eye, separating your bottom eyelid from your eyeball. Then take the eyeliner pencil and put it on the flat area above the eyelid (above where the bottom eyelashes grow out of). This won't make you look dead.


2. Clinique has really nice mascara. However, only apply it to the top lashes, and wipe off any excess mascara.
I feel the need to stress that you should never line the bottom of your eye without doing the top as well. Your top lashline however can be done by itself without doing the bottom. If you are right handed, use your right hand to apply the liner as close to the top lash line as possible while simultaneously using your left pointer finger to gently pull the outer edge of that eye outward (I find this makes it a lot easier to apply). Have q-tips and eye makeup remover handy (I use Pond's Cold Cream to remove mine). If the line looks too thick or uneven use a little eye makeup remover on a q-tip to wipe some of it away. You can keep adding and taking away until the line looks perfect. To apply it close, make sure you are lining as close to the eyelashes as possible (literally your line should be on the root of your lashes). Start in the inner most corner of the eye going all the way to the end (it looks better if you start with a thinner line in the first quarter of the eye thickening it as your go along). Mac eye kohl pencils are amazing. I love the shades Teddy and Smolder.





For mascara, I like Maybelline Blackest Black. Make sure you start at the base of the lashes, jiggling the wand back and forth a little until you get to the very top. Once again, use q-tips with a little makeup remover to fix your mistakes. Hope this helps!
as for the eyeliner instead of doing it on the outside of you eye do it on the inside. if you look at your eye in the mirror you will see there is a place between your eye and your eyelashes, sharpen your pencil then rub the tip on your finger to dull it a little bit then put the liner in the area i said above. and as for mascara if you do the liner the right way you should be able to use a dark color. i hope i descibed it well enough im sorry if i didnt.
